Smart Start offers farmers and growers a unique chance to have a
specialised rural and organic consultant visit your property, at a reduced cost, for an in-depth
review and discussion. Consultants identify options and benefits of organic
management practices, as well as possible business implications, so that you can make an informed decision about making the switch to certified organic production. All consultations include a written report, with outlines of the current property
management, the possible impacts of organic conversion and an outline of other
support available to the producer.
A Smart Start consultancy is available to producers at a cost of $200 plus GST.
